About Me

My name is Leslie Nicole Smith.  I'm 33, a wife to Roland Smith and mother to my princess Ava. I have pretty much dealt with self image issues my entire life.  Do I look fat in this? I do not feel comfortable in this.  Yes!  That was me.  

In February 2013, Roland  and I were attending a Valentine’s Day event at our church.  And this is where my journey began!!!  I saw a picture of myself that I absolutely HATED! I felt HORRIBLE!  I felt so uncomfortable, self-conscious and huge when I saw the picture. So I decided I needed to do something.  I thought about it and challenged Roland to The Biggest Loser. To date, we still do not know who actually won, but I can say that …we both have. We have continued to press and press and press. 

Initially I was posting on Facebook at first because of the challenge that Roland and I were in (and people wanted to know who won). But then I realized that not only were people being impacted, but really….it was my accountability. If I stopped, then people would question where I was in my journey. Soooooo now I’m involved in sooooo many fitness/health related groups on Facebook. My news feed is mostly filled with fitness/health related topics… go figure! I never really thought about starting a blog, but I've been approached about starting one for some time now.  So here we are.

And this is where I am today....YES!  But the journey doesn't stop here!
